Quotes and Notes #133, March 16
“It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It’s called living.–Terry Pratchett
Terry Pratchett lived a full life. He also invented many diverse lives in his books and stories. He loved writing and when he was afflicted with early-onset Alzheimer’s and became unable to type, he wrote with a program that converted his spoken words into a written file. He once remarked that he had the ability to write a complete book, decide he didn’t like it, and then throw it in the trash and happily start over. He died a few days ago.
That’s what this note is about. If you’re walking down a difficult road, stick with it. If you’re walking down a road that leads nowhere, take a detour. If you are walking on a happy road, share a smile.
Everything is going to be all right.
