Quotes and Notes #135, March 18
”The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives.”–Albert Einstein
One of my favorite pictures from long ago is of my son at the age of four in which he is looking at a fishing worm as it crawls across his hand. I had taken him fishing at a beautiful mountain lake. With the mountains, clouds, and a forest all around him he found beauty in a slimy brown earthworm.
It’s not as much isolating the parts of beauty around us as it is accepting them with the grace and wonder of a child. Look for beauty today in places where you never found it before. It’s there. I guarantee it.
