“Say and do something positive that will help the situation; it doesn’t take any brains to complain.”–Robert A. Cook
I was given a nice compliment the other day, someone said, “John, you never complain about anything and you’ve been through a lot.”
That made me feel good, and then I realized that the only way to sensibly deal with adversity is to either do something about the problem, or if that is not possible, to accept the situation and move on.
The only thing you could possibly gain from complaining is a false sympathy. To quietly accept or change and then forge your way through a trying situation on the other hand will give you a feeling of accomplishment, self-respect, and strength. You may choose your own attitude.
