Overcoming or Redirecting?

Quotes and Notes #161, April 14

“Change is not overcoming inertia as much as it is redirecting, guiding, tweaking what already is and what has already happened. We must believe that we can make choices and that those choices can alter the future”–Max McKeown—

We must believe that we can make choices that make a difference. One of our choices is the nature of our overall attitude. Another is that of being happy. Attitude, optimism, and happiness are not things that just happen, they are things that we choose to have in our lives.

As for me, I choose to be happy, to maintain a positive attitude, and to laugh as much as possible. I know from experience that practicing these qualities makes them stronger.
