Quotes and Notes #165, April 18
“Have patience with all things, but, first of all with yourself.”—Saint Francis de Sales—
When I show a bonsai tree to most people, they usually have two questions,
- “How old is it?”—The answer varies but is usually only a guess.
- “When will it be finished?”—The answer is, “It will never be finished.”
In the same light, we, as individuals are never finished. It doesn’t matter how old you are, you are still constantly changing, learning new things, realizing new concepts, and refining old opinions. Sometimes the process is slow and painful. Sometimes it is delightful. Be patient with yourself. Embrace the changes.
And share a smile
