Make Your Momma Proud

Quotes and Notes #208, June 6,

“What are heavy? Sea-sand and sorrow.
What are brief? Today and tomorrow.
What are frail? Spring blossoms and youth.
What are deep? The ocean and truth.”
—Christina Rossetti—

Most of us have the ability to see a quality in someone else and project it as our own. What we don’t have, however, is the ability to see where the other person obtained the projected quality that we emulate. Deep down inside, however, we know the truth.

It is perfectly acceptable to embrace your true self—to totally be who you are at all times without reservation. Sometimes you must fudge a bit to make your momma proud, but that’s acceptable also.

It is most acceptable to wear a smile.
Everything is going to be all right
John P. Schulz—“Sweetie Drives on Chemo Days.”
