Spontaneity and impetuousness reduce stress

Quotes and Notes #249, July 10

“A great way to get rid of stress is—every once in a while—do something totally different and unexpected without any prior planning.”—Franklin Gillette—

Spontaneity and impetuousness engender rejuvenation. If adult life becomes a bit difficult at times, try dealing with it by calling in a bit of childishness. Find something “shiny” or loud or pretty to occupy your mind for a while. Do something totally outside of your routine. Play.

Share a smile with everyone who thinks you are crazy today.
Everything is going to be all right.
John P. Schulz—“Sweetie Drives on Chemo Days.”

I love the picture so much. 🙂 Fun. Little makes me laugh harder than the expression on my children’s faces when I break out dancing to some songs from my past. I love it.
