Quotes and Notes #251, July 12
“I live in my own little world. But it’s ok, they know me here.”—Lauren Myracle—
“The ache for home lives in all of us. The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.”—Maya Angelou, “All God’s Children Need Traveling Shoes.”—
We all need to go home at times. Our true home is a place inside our minds where we will not be bothered and where we don’t ever have to share our toys. Home is not a place, but a feeling of comfort within a set of circumstances. Creativity lives there, also.

I reread this one today, and I wanted to like it again. Perhaps because I am so needing to go home right now and to escape the heartache and brokenness weighing in all around. A good walk all bundled up in my Granny’s woods. With no one around except maybe the cows in the pasture that are long gone. I miss the cows, I miss the pasture, I miss the woods, and I miss the ones I returned to after my solitary walks. Thank you for the reminder that it’s okay to need to go home again.
