I cry when I’m sad. I know it’s not manly, but—oh, well.
I cry when I see something like kids in a high school band doing a good job that makes me proud. I probably don’t even know any of the players, I just appreciate them, and I get tears in my eyes.
Sometimes the sheer beauty and boundlessness of nature puts tears in my eyes. Sometimes it’s the sadness of loss or misfortune. I never know when they will run down my cheeks.
Today’s quote is correct—crying is cleansing. Your tears are a treasure. Love them.
