Quotes and Notes #235, July 5
“’Oh, Eeyore, you are wet!’ said Piglet, feeling him.
Eeyore shook himself, and asked somebody to explain to Piglet what happened when you had been inside a river for quite a long time.”—A.A. Milne—
If you fall in the river you will probably get wet.
If you get into contentious arguments with contentious people you will probably stand a chance of becoming angry. Anger just takes up too much time and energy to be worth the trouble, so it is best avoided.
Rather than becoming angry, we should muddle through anger-causing situations by using them as a learning tool and quietly exiting. This is much better for our mental health.
