We may take this thought into other parts of our endeavors. After trying many convoluted ways to solve a problem, look for the simplest because that will work best. This is not to say that one should look for the easiest way out, but for the simplest.

My wife has a rule about “stuff” in the house—“When something comes in, something must go out.” This policy serves to simplify and to reduce clutter. It also works in your mind as you sort through daily thoughts and considerations. Try it.

The simplest step toward being happy is to share a smile.
