Find A Path and Give it Your All…

Quotes and Notes # 300, August 31

Follow your chosen path

Follow your chosen path

“When you find your path, you must ignore fear. You need to have the courage to risk mistakes. But once you are on that road…run, run, run, and don’t stop ‘til you’ve reached its end.”—Jose N. Harris, “MI Vida: A Story of Faith, Hope, and Love”—

You may think long and hard about making a move or taking a new direction. You may have doubts and fears about what you think may be a good thing to do, or, perhaps, you may be on a course and you worry about the possible outcomes…

The only way to go is to hit it wide open. If problems are to happen along the way, you may deal with them later. Ready, Set,…..

And do it with a big smile
Everything is going to be all right.

Who Lives Behind Your Face?

Quotes and Notes #284, August 15

Hello in there

Hello in there

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”—Maya Angelou—

I am about to turn seventy and I have been looking back on the eventful decade of my sixties. It occurs to me that this past decade, I have been occupied with overcoming the defeats of my fifties—of finding out who really lives behind this face.

Who lives behind your face? I’ll bet it is someone who has the courage to rise up quickly after falling. Getting up seems to make the falling less of a problem. Move on.

Someone who is down needs one of your smiles today
Everything is going to be all right.

Be a Hero

Quotes and Notes #126, March 9

“A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.”–Christopher Reeve

This is a good definition of the word “hero.” I often ponder on the meaning of that word and on the word “courage” as well.

One may also become a hero by doing things for others and by sharing with the less fortunate. Sharing with and helping others also enables us to find a better focus for our own troubles.

Share a smile.

Everything is going to be all right.

The courage to listen

Quotes and Notes, January 15, 2015

“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.” –Winston Churchill

Are you one who can sit and truly listen instead of thinking about what you will say next? Today, listen to a friend’s concerns. Try to listen closely to what your friend is saying without allowing other thoughts to invade the conversation. You will feel good about it. Feed the birds. Share a smile.

Everything is going to be all right
