Smile, Let The Light Shine In…

Quotes and Notes #288, August 19

Open the window and let the sunshine out

Open the window and let the sunshine out

“A smile is the light in your window that tells others that there is a caring, sharing person inside.”–Denis Waitley–

“Set wide the window. Let me drink the day.”–Edith Wharton–

Since I have been writing these articles every day, I have started noticing the reactions of people with whom I share a smile. Sometimes, it’s even a compliment like, “I like your shoes,” or, “Your hair looks good.” I seem to notice that a brightness appears on the face of the recipient of a smile or a compliment. This tells me that I have made a small difference.

This always makes me feel good as well.

So always share a smile

Smiles go Viral

Quotes and Notes #125, March 8

“A smile is the light in your window that tells others there is a caring, sharing person inside.”–Denis Waitley

And that caring, sharing person can be a part of an epidemic. The incubation period of a smile is almost instantaneous and one single smile has the power to quickly fill a room with its light.

Make up a joke today about paper clips and shoeshine—then tell it until it becomes funny. If you call me crazy, I’ll take it as a compliment.

Pat somebody on the back and tell them they’re doing a good job.

Everything is going to be all right
