He was an old soldier. I was young.
I thought about it and said, “It made me feel like someone really cared about me and wanted to give me something to remember.”
“That’s good.” He replied. “That’s what I meant for it to do.”
He has been gone for years, now. But I haven’t forgotten.
And he always had a bright smile for me. I will never forget that
