Quotes and Notes #149, April 2
“The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves.”–Steven Spielberg
I have several mentors—one in particular—who may not even know that they are mentors but act with kindness and generosity. The particular mentor will plant a seed of an idea in my mind about once a year and I won’t even realize that it has been planted until it sprouts and begins to grow. She doesn’t try to change me, just to help me to expand.
You are probably a mentor to someone without even knowing it. Take care.
