It is sometimes difficult to let go of superfluous possessions but we must, at times, take a close look at our acquisitions and determine which are enjoyable and which cause stress, trouble, or inconvenience in our lives.
Proust wrote once that a good gift should be consumable because the alternative brought with it “the burden of display or storage.” I think about this when purchasing a gift for someone.
But a nice day and a shared smile are always enjoyable.
Everything is going to be all right.
